Welcome to Taynuilt Primary School Website

Taynuilt Primary School sits at the foot of Ben Cruachan in a beautiful rural setting close to Loch Etive and within the village of Taynuilt. The school was opened in 1989 and is of semi-open plan design, with one double and two single classroom bays opening onto a shared open area. There is a hall which is used for PE, drama and many other activites. This is also where the children eat their lunch. In 2008 a new purpose-built nursery was built adjacent to the school.

Taynuilt Primary School is noted for its warm, enthusiastic and supportive ethos. All members of the school community strive to provide the best learning and teaching environment possible, to ensure that each member of that community benefits from his/her time there.

At Taynuilt School we have a range of extra curricular activities at different times of the year including our School Choir, Adventure Clubs for p5 and p6 pupils and our Sewing Club.  We have an Orienteering Club also,which meets during the summer months and is lead by parents. A number of our pupils have done very well in local and Scottish orienteering events.

We are also taking part in the Eco Schools Programme and are hoping to gain our Green Flag this session.
